You start off as a mortal and wear the HUD, wearing this HUD is your way of agreeing that you are ready to be part of the system, information from the HUD is saved to a server.
Vampires and drows can feed on mortals and elven that are wearing the HUD and are 2.5m away from them, the mortal or elven will get a signal that somebody is requesting to feed and can choose to either allow the bite or reject it by the clicking the corresponding button.
Vampires will lose about 7% of their health each day and so either need to feed on mortals and elvens or buy blood barrels from the following locations
Ravencrest, and
A Woman's Touch (females only)
Should a vampire fail to feed and lose all their blood then they will become a ghoul and have to roleplay seeking the Dark Goddess herself in order to be revived (this will come at a small cost)
It is my hope that this way vampires and drows will communicate with their donors more, please also feel free to request in the support group if there are any willing to offer a donation of blood.
Please check the
clans page about known active clan leaders if you would like to become a vampire. Although vampires and drows should be able to turn mortals, those turned by the 'Dark Goddess' herself will be generation 1, this will mean that there may be more generation 1s in the future but the good news is that Clan leaders will be the only ones to make the decisions over their clans as opposed to relying on a HUD to tell them how to do things.
You will also be able to form your own clan by clicking the tiara in the HUD image and choosing leave and then found.
I am sure this document will grow over time as we discover what needs to be added to the system but for now, I would just like to thank you once again for taking part in the future of vampire roleplay within Second Life.
